Why would I want friends like me?

How are you! Wow. That's a question for me to ponder. And it's seemingly out of the blue, but if I know you as well as I think I know you, this is something you've been thinking about for some time.

Are my other friends like me?

Goodness, I hope not!

You know how I describe them in comparison? I say that we are like-minded opposites. Like you and me, my other friends have shared values and similar upbringings, but they, in turn, are more courageous, harder-working, cheekier, and more complex than I.

More than one is seriously smarter than I am.

If you fear that you've lost friends because you've become un-coupled, remind yourself that you still have women in your life that you can count on.

Just because we live in different cities and don't get together as much as we should, doesn't mean that we're not here for you.

This letter writing with you comes as a really good time for me. I very much enjoy our correspondence. I'm here in backcountry, away from the busyness of city life (and enjoying the tranquility!), trying to meet an impossible deadline.

Your social circle is narrowing and widening at the same time.
